Various factors would be considered to verify the validity of a United Arab Emirates phone number, including: format of the number, prefix, length, and assigned telecom service provider. Phone number validation is pretty useful in personal and business communications, because this helps to establish that the number is correctly structured and possibly active.

1. Check the Number Format
UAE phone numbers follow a particular pattern, and the first step in their validation involves making sure a number fits this pattern. For UAE mobile numbers, in general, there are 10 digits: a two-digit prefix and eight more digits. Landline numbers start with an area code, followed by a seven-digit number. For international numbers, the country code should be at the beginning with +971 and the first "0" of the area code or prefix removed.

Mobile format: +971 50 123 4567; Landline format: +971 4 123 4567 - for a Dubai landline. 2. Check the Prefix of Mobile Numbers
It also includes certain  UAE Phone Number Data  specific prefixes: 050, 052, 054, 055, 056, 058, and 059. Each prefix is assigned to particular telecom providers, with the major ones being Etisalat and du. A valid UAE mobile number should begin with one of these prefixes. Any number commencing with any other prefix or having less/more than 10 digits could be invalid.

3. Check for the Landline Area Code
Landline numbers in the UAE are assigned an area code to identify the emirate. For instance, Abu Dhabi has 02, Dubai has 04, while 06 covers Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah. The verification of the landline number will be facilitated by its area code.

4. Online Verification Tools
Other online services and applications verify a UAE phone number. They do this by providing a box where one can input the number to be verified if it matches the format for UAE numbers. Most of these tools verify that the number is in the right format and may not guarantee whether the number is active or in service.

5. Contact the Telecom Provider
If it's crucial to verify if the phone number is active, then a call to the major UAE telecom providers, such as Etisalat or du, can be made. They can give more detailed information on the status of the number, although they also never release specific account details as per privacy concerns.

Verification, in simple terms, involves the structure of a UAE phone number; the prefix or area code; length; and, optionally, online tools or contacts with telecom providers. This tries to ensure that the number is valid under the numbering system, as a means of avoiding miscommunication and ensuring reliable connectivity.
